For The Second Year in a Row, Shea Homes Honored With J.D. Power Customer Service Champion Recognition

WALNUT, Calif. (March 21, 2012) – For the second year in a row, Shea Homes has been honored with the prestigious J.D. Power Customer Service Champion recognition, one of only 50 companies to earn such a distinction in 2012. Shea and David Weekley Homes are the only two American homebuilders to receive this recognition.
The announcement was made at the J.D. Power and Associates Service Excellence Summit in Orlando, FL.
To qualify for inclusion on this elite list, companies must not only excel within their own industries, but also must stand out among leading brands in 20 major industries identified by J.D. Power. Evaluations are based on five key customer “touch points” including people, presentation, process, product, and price.
To identify the J.D. Power 2012 Customer Service Champions, J.D. Power analyzed more than 800 brands. Companies were selected based on customer feedback, opinions, and perceptions gathered primarily from J.D. Power’s syndicated research as well as additional, supplemental research. This group of 50 represents the highest-performing companies that deliver service excellence to U.S. customers, both within their respective industries and across all industries measured.
