Ice Skating at the Whitewater Center
From mid-November until mid-February of 2024, the Whitewater Center converts 24,000 sq. ft. of unique skating space into a one-of-a-kind ice skating experience that's open to all ages and experience levels. Guests can show off their skating skills outdoors, surrounded by beautiful nature, and enjoy hot and cold beverages when needing a skate break.
Available through mid-February.
Speedway Christmas at the Charlotte Motor Speedway
Come and see the Southeast’s largest drive-through holiday light show at Speedway Christmas. This spectacular light-show features more than five million lights on a four-mile course that includes the legendary oval, pit road and infield road course. The show is open 6-10 p.m. rain or shine and features synchronized lights-to-music on 101.3 FM plus drive-in movies on the gigantic Speedway TV every Thursday through Sunday night until Christmas. There will also be festive holiday attractions at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Christmas Village Thursday-Sunday nights this winter!

The Nutcracker at the Belk Theater
The holidays have never felt so magical when getting lost in the enchanting world of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” with the Charlotte Ballet. Experience the awe of this beloved classic performance, in all its glittering snowfall, jumping candy canes, and sugar plum fairy glory!

Holidays at the Garden at the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden
The Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden offers a mesmerizing holiday experience through its “Holidays at the Garden” displays. Stroll through their illuminated garden with sparkling fountains and dazzling holiday décor or delight in smore-making and delicious snacks from various food trucks. Holidays at the Garden offers the perfect opportunity for Instagram-worthy holiday photos!
Available through December 23rd! Closed on Mondays.
“Christmas Town USA” in McAdenville, NC
Experience the cheer of the beloved Christmas Town tradition, where just 15 miles west of Charlotte lies McAdenville, where the entire community lights up with holiday cheer. In Christmas Town, you can find stunning displays of holiday lights that draw visitors from far and wide. Guests can attend holiday events or take a leisurely drive or peaceful walk through the beautifully lit streets.
Available December 1st through December 26th, 2023. From 5:30pm until 10pm each night.
