How Healthy Is Your Home?

Shea Homes San Diego has just unveiled its offering of Delos’ DARWIN™ network: a wellness technology solution created to enhance home wellness by helping to improve indoor air quality, implementing water filtration and circadian lighting.
Making its debut in Shea Homes at Alia in Encinitas on January 25, DARWIN is already getting a positive response.
How does it work?
According to Delos, the DARWIN network employs proprietary wellness algorithms and sensor technologies to monitor, calibrate and respond to the changing conditions inside the home in order to help mitigate harmful indoor environmental concerns and help improve overall health of the people who live there.
“Shea is constantly seeking new technologies and products,” says Vanessa Linn, Shea Homes San Diego VP of sales and marketing. “DARWIN’s state-of-the-art technology is easy to use and enables individual control over air filtration, water filtration and lighting.”
Delos indicates the DARWIN network includes the following elements:
• The DARWIN Hub is the “wellness brain” of the home, synthesizing communication across the DARWIN elements to help optimize your home as an ecosystem.
• The Delos Air Purification System can help improve indoor air quality by filtering allergens, toxins, pathogens, pollen and other pollutants. Indoor air quality monitoring uses sensors to continuously measure environmental conditions.
• The Delos Water Filtration System uses advanced filtration technologies to remove contaminants and help improve water quality throughout the home.
• The Delos Restorative Lighting System mimics natural light, to help balance the body’s sleep-wake cycle, which can help to regulate hormonal balance, appetite, sleep, productivity and energy levels.
Informed by over eight years of research and rigorous analysis of environmental health impacts on people, including research collaborations with leading institutions and experts, Delos and its affiliates offer wellness technologies and solutions for the home environment.
