If you live in one of our neighborhoods at Del Sol, you’ll want to check out the 5th Annual Seaside Tattoo Show at Ventura Fairgrounds. This 3-day event, taking place from June 9th to the 11th, will include over 100 world-renowned artists, live tattooing and piercing, and live entertainment. Best of all, the show is family-friendly, and has many activities for the little ones, such as an arts booth, Henna tattoos, and face painting. Get your tickets today!
Enjoy your weekend on a high note when you live in Yorba Linda. Throughout the summer, from July 16th to August 20th, the City will be hosting free concerts at Hurless Barton Park. Head down every week to see a new local band take the stage and wow you with their unique musical abilities, from your favorite 90’s hits to a tribute to Fleetwood Mac! Be sure to pack a picnic dinner, and bring along a lawn chair or blanket, to enhance your concert-going experience.
In Huntington Beach, you can experience the U.S. Open of Surfing! Taking place from July 29th to August 6th, this is one of the world’s premiere surfing events, and promises to be an unforgettable affair. We recommend you come early to secure the best viewing spot, whether in the stadium seats, on the beachfront area, or even on the Huntington Beach Pier. In addition to the competition, this event is full of street performers, outdoor activities, and more!
Do something different this summer. This year, Shakespeare by the Sea, a non-profit organization dedicated to making theatre accessible to all, will be showing “Hamlet” in Mission Viejo on Wednesday, July 19th, at 7 PM. Bring blankets, beach chairs, and your whole family to Murray Community Center to watch a live performance of Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece. This unique experience is sure to give you a newfound appreciation for theatre, and inspire you to attend and read more of Shakespeare’s other works. Pro-Tip: It can get chilly, so be sure to dress warmly!
Celebrate all things art at TOCApalooza on June 24th at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center! Only a quick drive away from The Foundry in Redondo Beach, this day-long festival will surely spark your creativity and imagination. Watch everything from music to powerful dance on one of three entertainment stages, check out the juried exhibit full of art from up-and-coming artists, shop local and regional vendors for unique gifts, and enjoy a delicious selection of food and drinks.
Whether you live at Olive or Oleander, you’ll have a great time at the nearby Silent Disco! Here, you can dance like you would at any other party, but you will be wearing headphones, so you control the music and volume. All headphones will have color-coded lights to specify which station each person is grooving to. If you see someone dancing to a station you love, don’t hesitate to reach out and make friends in the process.
