Houston's Best Holiday Photo Locations
Dec 9, 2021 • Houston Area, TX
Christmas is almost here! There is still time to capture those charming holiday photos with your friends and family. Whether for your postcard or an Instagram-worthy photo, the Houston area has plenty of locations to photograph your family moments. We at Shea Homes® has put together a list of photo locations for any theme from rustic to glam!
Old Time Christmas Tree Farm
Located in Spring, TX, not only is the Old Time Christmas Tree Farm the perfect place to cut and take home your fresh Christmas tree this season, it’s also a creative way to photograph this year’s Christmas card. Go through the fields of trees and capture your family moments surrounded by the many varieties of trees.
Deer Park Municipal Court
A courthouse may not seem like the most likely place for a photo op, but we ensure you the Deer Park Municipal Court pulls out all the bells and whistles for their outdoor Holiday décor. Get professional-level photos at the life-sized ornament stack and Christmas tree large enough to be in Rockefeller Plaza. They even decorate the nearby cabin with more oversized garland and wreaths.
Alley Theatre’s Deck the Trees
Each year selected companies and decorators decorate trees to benefit the Alley Theatre educational initiatives. The holiday tradition is out for show in two Houston locations, the George. R. Brown Convention Center and Avenida De Las Americas at Discovery Green. This year there are 32 trees. Each has a theme from classic Christmas to Go Houston Astros! This display will brighten up any Christmas photo this holiday season.
Tinys Milk & Cookies
Located in West University, Tinys Milk & Cookies is a Houston native go-to for the warmest cookies. This is your moment to grab warm gingerbread cookies and pose for your family photo moment. In December, they create two charming spots outside their shop for you to capture the sweetest holiday photos. Afterward, get your holiday shopping done at the shopping centers.
Your Front Door
Traveling for Christmas photos is a great idea, but why not use your beautiful Shea Home? Decorate your door with a wreath and surround your door frame with lots of twinkly lights. Stand or sit at your doorstep and voila! You have amazing Christmas photos right at home. Have your family pose with wrapped boxes topped with a bow, add a bit of fake snow, or snuggle up in your Christmas pajamas for more cozy holiday photos.
