Fremont, California was recently ranked as "The Happiest City in the U.S." by WalletHub.com. The title of the happiest city in America was awarded to Fremont after WalletHub surveyed the 182 biggest cities and looked at indicators such as income, employment, community and environmental well-being. Wallethub.com also notes that Fremont has the lowest divorce rate in the county. And of course, the fantastic Northern California weather and picturesque scenery don’t hurt.
The recent addition of the Innovation District in Fremont likely may have something to do with this rating. The Innovation District, located at the new Warm Springs BART station in Fremont is a thriving new tech area that features a variety of tech manufacturing facilities, including Tesla Motors, Lam Research, Delta Products, Seagate, Western Digital, ThermoFisher, and Boston Scientific, as well as a number of startups in clean technologies, life sciences, and advanced manufacturing. Fremont also boasts the highest concentration of start-ups in the county for many international industries.
