Setting up Your Appointment
Congratulations! You’ve purchased a brand-new Shea home. Now that you’re a proud Shea homebuyer, the Design Studio will reach out to you to schedule an appointment. Depending on your situation, you may need only one appointment to make all your selections, but it’s possible you’ll need a few appointments to finalize your choices.
If you’re building a home with us, your Design Studio sessions may take place before construction on your home and your first appointment will be about two to three hours long. If you’re not looking to be involved with the design of your home, Shea offers a variety of quick move-in homes in select Southern California communities. Several of our quick move-in homes come complete with designer-selected features, but you may have the option to customize your home depending on how far along the home is in the construction process.
Prep for the Big Day
Before meeting with one of our talented designers, it is beneficial to know what kind of aesthetic you want to embrace in your home. From mid-century modern to nautical, there are many exciting themes to choose from. If you don’t know what kind of design styles screams “you,” Pinterest is a great tool for finding inspiration with regard to fixtures, color palettes, and more. We also recommend bringing any fabric swatches, paint color samples, and pictures you like as this helps our designers execute your vision.
Your Time To Shine
On the day of your Design Studio appointment, one of our talented designers will sit down with you and discuss what you envision for your dream home. They’ll talk through your style preferences, lifestyle needs, and the overall features you want included in your home. Our Design Studio offers plenty of samples to explore during your appointment, including flooring, cabinets, lighting, paint colors, countertops, appliances, and more.
During your session, you’ll also have the opportunity to go over the SheaConnect™ features that are included or optional in your new Shea home. Our suite of features may include: Eero Wi-Fi, Amazon Echo Show, Honeywell Pro Smart Thermostat, iDevices Wall Switch, and more.
