SoCal HotSpots to Visit During Spring Break
When you find a home in one of our Southern California communities, you get an amazing place to lay down roots, plus easy access to an incredible lifestyle and exciting hotspots. No matter which community you live in, you’ll discover a variety of activities and attractions nearby that are the perfect additions to your vacay itinerary this spring.
Get Your Shopping On at Ontario Mills Mall
If you don’t want to brave the crowds at Disneyland this spring break, you can still enjoy a host of Disney delights at the Ontario Mills Indoor Outlet Mall, located minutes from our Olive and Oleander communities. This Disney outlet is one of the last Disney stores still standing and allows you to indulge in all of the magic without having to stray too far from home. In addition, Ontario Mills is full of unique shops and eateries that keep thousands upon thousands of guests coming back each year.
Practice Your Swing in Mission Viejo
Hitting a few golf balls under the gorgeous, spring sun is always a thrill, and when you live at Bloom at Rienda in Rancho Mission Viejo, you’ll find the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club is just 15 minutes away. Book your tee time, and revel in the challenge of an 18-hole championship-length golf course designed by PGA Tour professional, Tom Leham, and Casey O’Callaghan, a well-known architect in the golfing industry! After a long day of hole-in-ones, pars, and birdies, unwind at O'Neill's Bar & Grill for a tranquil and delicious meal, al-fresco style.
Take in a Show Near Rosemead
Our new gated community, Cassia in Rosemead, offers easy access to several cultural attractions. Located just a quick drive from the community is the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, a historic building that has been entertaining audiences since 1927! Throughout the spring season, the playhouse plans to host a number of performances, including Shrek the Musical, Seussical, and the 35th Annual Chinese Dance Festival. This gorgeous hotspot makes it easy to enjoy culture, while spending quality time with your family and friends.
Enjoy Fun in the Sun in Ventura
Near our neighborhoods at Del Sol in Ventura, there is plenty of fun to be had at Ventura Harbor Village. This easily walkable shopping and dining destination has several must-visit, family-friendly places. Coastal Cone Ice Cream offers a unique menu of flavors and concoctions, including Fishzookies, which are hot, fish-shaped pastries with ice cream and mouthwatering toppings. Head to Ventura Boat Rentals and take out kayaks, paddleboards, and pedal boats—shaped like swans and dragons—to enjoy unforgettable spring fun on the harbor itself.
Spend a Day at the Irvine Spectrum Center
Arbor and Cielo at Portola Springs in Irvine are only a short drive away from the highly popular Irvine Spectrum Center. Here, there are plenty of shops, eateries, and entertainment options to explore. Buy some new staples for your closet, try out a new cuisine at one of the many restaurants, catch a movie at the Regal Cinema, enjoy laughs at Irvine Improv, and relish a lovely spring day in this open-air shopping plaza.
Hang Out With Local Sea Life in Redondo Beach
When you live at The Foundry in Redondo Beach, the Glass Bottom Boat is a must-try adventure. This sightseeing tour has been taking guests on Pacific Ocean excursions since 1995, and includes an experienced crew with local knowledge of the harbor and wildlife. The large glass windows allow for uninterrupted views of the fish and plantlife and enable you to marvel at the underwater world. Tours on the Glass Bottom Boat feature two parts, one under the water and one above the surface, where California Sea Lions bask in the Redondo Beach sun.
No matter where you live, we hope these hotspots make it your itinerary this spring break!
