Gone are the days when going green meant hugging trees and giving up personal comfort. Today, going green is as easy as relaxing at home—in a Shea Home, that is. At Shea Homes, we are always looking for new ways to make it simple for you to go green and save on your energy costs. Here are some of the exciting energy efficient features you can expect from your new Shea Home:

ENERGY STAR Certification

All Shea Homes in Arizona are ENERGY STAR certified, which mean they are built with energy efficiency in mind and save homeowners up to 30% over typical homes on the market. In fact, our homes go above and beyond the ENERGY STAR Certification, which is why we call them High Performance Homes. Want to learn more about ENERGY STAR? Check out this previous blog post, One Big Secret to Energy Cost Savings.

Environments for Living Designation

One way that Shea Homes go above and beyond ENERGY STAR is by earning the Environments for Living (EFL) Designation. A third party tests each home throughout the build to ensure the home is exceptionally energy efficient. EFL means that you, the homeowner, have a 2-year guarantee that your energy bill will not exceed a certain amount. You can learn more about how you can save money with an EFL designated home here!

So how does a Shea Home stand up to these incredible energy efficiency standards? Check out these great home features that make it possible:
