Oh, 100 degrees, how we haven’t missed you.
We should be thankful for that beautiful extended spring, but now that the summer is here, it can be tempting to spend your summer days lounging inside avoiding the oppressive heat. And while we’ll never turn our nose up at a summer afternoon catnap, don’t let it keep you away from all the lively events going on around you! Go ahead… get out there and enjoy all that your town has to offer.
To help get you started, we at Shea Homes® have curated a list of fun events throughout June for our communities around the Valley:
Queen Creek/Mesa - Gateway Quarter, Eastmark, Recker Pointe
June 22: Queen Creek Olive Mill Annual Corn Roast
Kick off summer in style at the Queen Creek Olive Mill Corn Roast. Head over to this Queen Creek gem where they’ll be grilling local, non-GMO Sweet Corn from Rousseau Farming Co. and serving grilled sandwiches, beer and wine at The Pit. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy an evening of live music, great food, and cold drinks. Admission is free. 5 pm to 9 pm.
Daily until June 22: Pick Your Own Peaches at Vertuccio Farms
Are you ready for peach season? Because the peaches are ready for you! Come out to Vertuccio Farms any day between 6 am and 3 pm to pick pesticide-free, sweet and juicy peaches. For $1.50 per pound, you can stock up on the refreshing summer snack. Take your haul home and you’ll have all you need to make smoothies and sorbets to get you through toasty summer days!
Gilbert/Chandler - The Reserves, Carino Villas
June 9: ‘You’re Bacon Me Crazy’ Brunch Crawl
Sunday’s and brunch go together like bacon and eggs, so why not see what the Chandler brunch scene has to offer, all in one fell swoop? Starting at 10 am, you’ll have the chance to try the fare at eight of downtown Chandler’s best-loved brunch haunts, from the Mexican skillets at San Tan Brewery to the raspberry Moscow Mules at Crust. Head to the pool after your culinary excursion, and you’ve got a recipe for a perfect Sunday.
June 20-23: Highland Yard Vintage Market
Looking for unique decorations for your new home? You’re sure to find something here you won’t find anywhere else. With free admission, there’s no reason to come peruse these curious curios.
