By curating intimate events for prospects and new homeowners, Shea’s new Lifestyle Series brings together unique neighborhood purveyors, artisans and personalities to One Oak in Encinitas. Perched above the serene equestrian community of Olivenhain, One Oak offers sweeping views* of the ocean and San Diego’s rarified backcountry.
The elevated venue is a spectacular showcase for Shea’s new Lifestyle Series, which launched on April 6th with a standing-room-only workshop on the magical joy of tidying up with Marie Kondo-certified consultant Tricia Fidler of Carlsbad.
Fidler presented the essential elements of the KonMari Method™’, which is based on Marie Kondo's wildly popular best sellers -- “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing” and “Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up.”
For those who couldn’t attend this first KonMari Method™ event, Tricia Fidler will travel to Shea Homes’ Sierra at The Village of Escaya on Saturday, April 27th for a second workshop. This Lifestyle Series event is at no cost to you but reservations are required by emailing: email@example.com,
“Our Lifestyle Series takes our blueprint for indoor-outdoor living to the next level by tapping regional tastemakers for seasonal events, pop-ups and workshops,” said Vanessa Linn, vice president of sales and marketing for Shea’s San Diego division. “We want to introduce our new homeowners to the culture and personality of their communities.”
Next up in the Lifestyle Series is Garden Party: San Diego’s New Floral Stars Share Tips, Tricks & Trends just in time for Mother’s Day. Scheduled for 1 p.m. on May 11th at One Oak, this event features Landmark Plant Co, where you will be able to create beautiful succulents, perfect for Mother's Day.
Meanwhile on June 8th at One Oak, Shea presents Leah Kirpalani, founder of Shop Good, the San Diego organic beauty purveyor debuting her second store at One Paseo in Del Mar. And in July, Food Network Judge and esteemed San Diego food critic Troy Johnson will host a plant-based picnic. Exact date and time still to be determined.
Located at 3560 James Court at approximately 800 feet above sea level, One Oak is situated on pedigreed property. Originally, the 130-acre parcel was controlled by heirs of the Chandler family, a name familiar to all Southern Californians for its long-term ownership of Los Angeles Times. When Shea purchased the land four years ago, it was as environmental stewards: Seventy percent of the land is preserved as open space and administered by the Escondido Creek Conservancy.
