At McLean, every day is an opportunity to explore and have fun, on and off the water. Take a hike on the 2.8 mile Seven Oaks Preserve Trail, a shoreline path that winds among ancient oaks and tulip poplars in the 78-acre preserve beside Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden. The Overlake neighborhood offers a pool, cabana, playground, green spaces and an adjacent mountain biking trail and separate walking trails.
McLean, as a whole, offers over 130 acres of green open space and parks, with a network of trails, some of which wind along the shores of Lake Wylie. Parks, fishing ponds and playgrounds are scattered throughout. Not to be missed is the Seven Oaks Café, located in the historic McLean House, right inside the community.
